Spacebox
has been installed at several universities and institutes of learning to
provide flexible, low-cost housing for students, key workers and young
professionals.
The University of Utrecht have installed over 300 units (pictured) within the campus grounds. Car parking is provided. There is extensive bicycle storage to encourage the use of car-free transport.
Each Spacebox has its own kitchen, wc and shower-room. There is a communal laundry. Other design options include communal café/ sports/ leisure rooms.
Tenants report a high level of satisfaction with the facilities over several years of use.
